CORPUS CHRISTI - An organization created for U.S. troops needs help from the public. The USO of South Texas has teamed with the Corpus Christi Hooks and CPL Retail Energy to raise $25,000.
That money will be used to renovation the USO Lounge at the Corpus Christi International Airport. The lounge is used every year by thousands of military personnel returning to the Coastal Bend.
On Monday, CPL donated $7,500. The Hooks are also planning to auction off a jersey to help raise money.
Volunteers also packed 400 care packages for troops in Afghanistan.
