Frozen Turkey and Tortillas Land Two Suspects in Jail

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man and teenager seen walking down Lawnview pulling on door handles Saturday were taken to jail on for theft charges as police say they stole frozen turkey and tortillas from a nearby business.

An officer had stopped to talk with 31-year-old Michael Jenkins and the 16-year-old boy walking with him at 1:30 a.m. At the same time, other officers were heading to a business at 3104 S. Alameda for an alarm call. Police say they found a back window and a freezer open at the business.

Officers determined the turkey and tortillas were taken from the business.
