Friends Remember Victim Of Head-On Collision, Gina Reynolds

DRISCOLL - Friends gathered at Harrison's Landing tonight to remember Gina Reynolds. Reynolds along with another local man, John Beauregard, was killed in a car accident last night near Driscoll. Officials say her car veered into another lane striking Beauregard's vehicle head on.
The 28-year-old used to waitress at Harrison's Landing and recently left to pursue her masters in teaching at Corpus Christi A&M.
"She was going into youth counseling," said Reynold's friend, Shawna Powers. "She was just started on her career."
Friends say the ambitious student left her mark in every walk of life; and sometimes in a literal sense. For instance, her name is still on the Harrison's Landing menu, which she designed.
"She was one of the smartest brightest people I knew," said Kirsten Hogan
Aside from being smart, however, those close to her say she was just a great friend.
"We worked together, we hung out together, we played together, we got in trouble together," said Hogan, "It was great. She's a great person."
Reynolds loved sailing and bike riding but if there's something her friends will remember most, it's her smile.
"She had a really really big gummy gorgeous smile," said Hogan.
"She will be missed by so many people," said another friend, Julie Thomas.
Funeral arrangements have not been set yet.
