CORPUS CHRISTI - Friends of Juan Villarreal at CCAD say today was a hard day for everyone that worked with him.
Patrick Casillas worked with Villarreal for the past 4 years at the base. And in those 4 years, Casillas says there were two things Villarreal would always talk about -- his family and his motorcycle.
"He called that motorcycle Olita," Casillas told KRIS 6 News. "He praised it. It was a vintage motorcycle but he wouldn't give it up for nothing."
Casillas says while what happened to Villarreal is horrible, at least he left this world doing what he loved.
"He loved to go out and dance and enjoyed riding the bike. That was ... and it's just kind of, I guess, ironic how he ended up coming home from a night out of dancing and riding his bike."
Villarreal is in the process of having his organs harvested so they can be donated. Casillas says he wouldn't expect less from his friend.
"To give that in the end is very fitting of Juan ... to give a little piece of his big heart."
And even though Casillas says Villarreal is gone, he will always try and remember what his friend taught him.
"The man lived life to the fullest and that's what he preached to everybody."
