Free Pet Adoption Event Ends on a Busy Note

CORPUS CHRISTI- The city's animal shelter opened this morning to long lines of people waiting to get in the door, all for free pet adoptions.
This was the second day people could adopt pets for free at the shelter, thanks to a large private donation last week to the shelter.
While there was a line of people to get in the door, the line inside was even longer.
More than 80 people were in the process of adopting in the first few hours alone.
On Friday, 12 cats and dogs found a new home..but before they leave the shelter, the animals will be spayed, neutered and micro-chipped.
The free adoption event ended Saturday afternoon.
