CORPUS CHRISTI - Testimony is underway in the trial of a foster father accused of shaking a little girl because she wouldn't sleep.
In late August 2012, Irving Patrick called 9-1-1 saying his two year old daughter was having trouble breathing. When she was taken to the hospital, doctors found she had a fractured skull, broken ribs and burns on her body.
He was arrested a few days later and charged with injury to a child.
Today, prosecutors showed jurors video of Patrick's police interrogation in which he told a detective that the child fell down.
Patrick is facing charges of 3rd degree felony injury to a child and 1st degree felony injury to a child. If convicted, he faces a punishment anywhere from 2 to 99 years in prison.
