Fort Bend School Bus Driver Gets Upset, Leaves Bus

MISSOURI CITY, Texas (AP) - A Houston-area school bus driver faces a review after she allegedly became upset with the children, pulled over, threw the keys to a student and called for a replacement driver.

KPRC-TV reports the Fort Bend Independent School District has removed the driver amid the investigation of Tuesday's incident. The students from Baines Middle School in Missouri City allegedly were loud on the bus.

Fort Bend ISD officials on Thursday said the driver became frustrated while hauling 12 students home from school, got off the bus and called a supervisor to send a replacement. Another driver completed the route.

School officials say the safety of students is the highest priority and appropriate actions will be taken upon completion of the investigation.

The driver has been with the district since August 2008.
