CORPUS CHRISTI - A former West Oso I.S.D employee acccused of misusing District funds will remain fired.
Former West Oso Junior High secretary Melissa Dilworth was fired in May.
Dilworth was suspended back in April after police started investigating $2,000 worth of missing funds from the District.
The School Board voted 4-1 to uphold her termination tonight, after discussing it in closed session for about two hours.
Dilworth and her attorney questioned the School District's decision to fire her, while it let the Junior High Principal, Terry Avery, keep his job.
Both Dilworth and Avery were suspended in April, when police started their investigation into the missing funds.
Dilworth's attorney says her client plans to sue the School District for wrongful termination.
