CORPUS CHRISTI - The former King High school teacher accused of having sex with a student has been released from the Nueces County Jail.
Tanya Delayne Ramirez, 29, walked out of the jail just before one this afternoon after she appeared before a magistrate judge.
During that hearing, Ramirez was formally charged. She spent the night in jail after turning herself in on a charge of having an improper relationship with a student.
According to the arrest affidavit, CCISD Police began their investigation after a parent brought a sex tape involving a teacher and a student to staff's attention. The Superintendent immediately suspended her and recommended termination. She tried to resign but that was rejected. She was finally fired two weeks ago with no objections on her part.
