JIM WELLS COUNTY -- Two former Orange Grove police officers have made it on the Jim Wells County Top 10 Most Wanted List.
The list, released Wednesday, lists Daniel Jaramillo, 33, and his brother, Francisco Jaramillo Jr., 44, after their bonds were revoked.
The younger Jaramillo was indicted on felony theft charges in June 2012, and was at the center of several complaints about a housing scam in Alice. Several women filed police reports in July 2012 claiming Jaramillo took rental deposits from them for his house on Ebony Circle, and then never allowed any of them to move in. Alice police are investigating, but Jaramillo has not been arrested in connection with the case.
His older brother, Francisco, also a former Orange Grove police officer, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft after taking $4,500 from a Nueces County man for a construction project that he never started. He was sentenced to four years probation.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of South Texas at 361-664-STOP. Tips leading to an arrest could earn you a $1,000 reward.
