HOUSTON, TEXAS - Former Texas A&M-Kingsville defensive tackle Jimmy Saddler-McQueen signed a contract with the Houston Texans on Saturday.
A four-year letterwinner, Saddler-McQueen is with his third NFL organization since last playing for the Javelinas in 2009. Following his senior season he signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears and then moved on to the Dallas Cowboys where he was briefly on the active roster in 2010.
Saddler-McQueen tallied 144 tackles and 23 tackles for loss in his career with the Javelinas. He was the Lone Star Conference co-Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2008 and was an Honorable Mention D2Football.com All-American in 2009. He helped lead the Javelinas to a conference title and playoff berth in 2009.
