Former A&M-Kingsville Star Al Harris Named Chiefs Secondary Coach

KINGSVILLE - Former A&M-Kingsville cornerback Al Harris was named the Kansas City Chiefs defensive assistant/secondary coach.

The two-time Pro Bowl player, now begins his first full season as an NFL assistant coach after spending 14-seasons in the NFL.

He spent two seasons (1993-94) at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas. He then transferred to Texas A&M University-Kingsville (1995-96) and was a first-team All-Lone Star Conference pick in his senior season.

After retiring in 2011 Harris spent the 2012 season as a coaching intern under Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin.
