CORPUS CHRISTI - Former Texas A&M-Kingsville Head Football Coach Bo Atterberry has broken his silence since taking his new job at Southeastern Oklahoma.
"I am gonna be me and me from 6 years ago is a little different from me back then, I have had different experiences, so some things will be different but I am gonna be Bo Atterberry just the me with more experience and knowledge," he said.
Atterberry was hired on Monday as the Savage Storm's Defensive Coordinator, the same position he held six years ago before taking over in Kingsville.
"I was looking for jobs and saw this one, and I knew some people, and things just worked out," said Atterberry.
A 1998 graduate of Southeastern, he resigned with a year remaining on his contract in December after six seasons with the Javelinas. Under Atterberry the Javelinas were 41-28 with two appearances in the NCAA Division II playoffs and a share of the Lone Star Conference championship in 2009.
He was the Defensive Coordinator for the Storm from 2004-2006.
