Floral Shops Keep Busy As Valentine's Day Nears

CORPUS CHRISTI - If you think you're stressed out as a last minute Valentine's shopper, you probably don't have anything on the owner of Blossom Shop on Staples Street.

Florist, AC Gilmore, will be working around the clock the next couple days to make sure everyone receives their bouquets. He's the owner of Blossom Shop that's been in business for more than 5 decades.

AC is expecting to prepare 10,000 roses for Valentines Day. He rented an extra 12 trucks and will bring in 15 extra drivers to deliver all the special flowers. He says that may not even be enough help.

"I've never, ever had to much help for Valentine's," Gilmore said, "I've never had too many drivers, ever, ever, ever, ever so it'll probably be no different this time."
