Five Alarm Fire Burns Down Building

NEW JERSEY - One building is destroyed and another is severely damaged after a five-alarm fire broke out in Jersey City.

The fire broke out shortly after midnight Friday.

Flames caused one building to completely collapse as the fire spread to another structure that partially collapsed.

The blaze reached a third structure, but firefighters were able to bring the flames under control to prevent even more damage.

It is still unclear how many people are homeless as a result of the fire, but firefighters say that none of the residents were injured.

The cause of the blaze is still unknown.
