Firefighters Help With Improvements at Ronald McDonald House

CORPUS CHRISTI - Firefighters were out at the Ronald McDonald House to help spruce up the place. They installed 25 new televisions to help the families of children undergoing medical treatment at Driscoll Children's Hospital.

Today's efforts are in honor of International Firefighters' Day.

"We tend to see these kids, we pick them up and stuff like that. We tend to see them on their worst days. It's important. We're extremely blessed to do what we do and just for these parents to come and take care of their kids and have nothing else to worry about," said firefighter Thomas Cruz.

Last year, firefighters installed bedding at the Ronald McDonald House.
