Firefighters Battled Fire at Coors Plant

LONGVIEW - Heavy smoke billowed from the Coors Plant in Longview, Texas for hours Tuesday.

The fire started at the plant around 10:30 am.

Gregg County Fire Officials say the fire started in a large keg cooler where repairs were being made to a copper pipe.

The torch used to make those repairs ignited insulation in the cooler.

The insulation was emitting flammable gas that continued to re-ignite the fire.

The fire was put out after approximately five hours.

All employees were able to get out of the building uninjured.
