CORPUS CHRISTI -- There was a fire on the 900 block of Kansas Street around 10:15 last night in Robstown.

When Robstown Fire Department arrived on the scene, two vacant houses were completely engulfed.

It was difficult for the fire crews to contain the fire at first because of the shrubbery and tall grass around the houses.

The fire was contained before it moved to the two homes that were occupied next door. One of those homes was slightly charred, but no one was hurt.

So far, the cause of the fire has not been determined.
