Fire Engulfs SUV

Fire Engulfs SUV

CORPUS CHRISTI - A husband and wife going home to The Valley this evening didn't make it after their Ford Explorer started on fire. The husband said he had problems with the SUV and after he pulled over at I-37 near redbird. It didn't take long until flames covered the SUV. No one was hurt but part of a nearby apartment complex evacuated as a precaution. The apartment complex then gave the couple a place to stay for the night. Firefighters say poor maintenance of the SUV likely caused the fire.
