Fire Damages Corpus Christi Home, Residents Rescued

CORPUS CHRISTI- Firefighters made quick work of a house fire Saturday afternoon.

A passerby called 911 around 2PM as smoke was billowing from a downstairs window.

Neighbors saw the fire and went to the home, knocked down and fence and was able to pull a woman in a wheelchair out of the home before firefighters arrived.

No one was hurt, damage was confined to the laundry room at the front of the house.

The cause is under investigation.
