AGUA DULCE - When Marlena Longoria decided to run for the school board...she filled out an application and turned it in long before the Febuary 28th deadline.
Because the application was incomplete, it was tossed out. Longoria points to Section 145 of the State Election Code which says any inelgiable candidate for office should be promptly notified.
However, Superintendent Dr. Russ Perry says that doesn't apply because Longoria is eligible, she just mistakenly didn't fill in one of the questions on the application.
Dr. Perry says his office has done everything by the book and there's no room for exceptions, especially when it comes to elections..
Longoria believes she deserves more. She says she will continue to fight until the May 10th elections.
