CORPUS CHRISTI - A weak front has made its way into the Coastal Bend this morning and is very unusual for this time of year for even a weak-natured front to arrive this far south in the season.
Today expect partly cloudy skies with a few showers lingering around the Coastal Bend. Most of the rain will be in the inland areas off to the west. Highs will still be very hot as we top out in the mid-90s with light winds turning back to the ESE around 5-10mph.
Tonight, the clouds will stick around and a few showers are not out of the question with lows in the mid-70s.
Rainfall amounts each day will not be spectacular and most of us will miss out, but the opportunity for a few sea-breeze showers for Sunday and Monday during peak heating hours of the day are also in the forecast. By the middle of next week, the heat will be on as we look for mainly sunny skies and temperatures rocketing to the upper 90s.
