CORPUS CHRISTI - The weak tropical wave that just brought us a few sprinkles over the weekend and yesterday is now moving further to the west and shifting chances of rain away from us. Low level moisture will make a comeback and we can expect lots of heat and muggy conditions with heat index values surpassing the century mark the next several days.
Today will start off partly to mostly cloudy with only a few seabreeze showers in the afternoon with highs back in the middle to upper 90s. Winds: SE 10-20 and gusting.
Tonight will be quiet and tranquil with lows falling into the middle to upper 70s with relatively light winds.
We can expect lots of sunshine heading straight into the weekend as highs will challenge triple digits by Friday. Heat index values will go around 105-110. Stay plenty hydrated with outdoor activities. T.S. Chantal is heading for Barbados and still remains no player in our weather for S. Texas.
