BANGLADESH -- A ferry packed with some 100 people capsized and sank today in a river in central Bangladesh after colliding with another boat.
Police say there are no immediate reports of casualties after the ferry went down in the river.
Local villagers rescued more than 40 people after the accident, several other people swam to shore.
The other boat involved in the collision didn't sink and was seen floating next to a salvage vessel.
