Fellowship of Oso Creek Easter Festival

CORPUS CHRISTI - One local church got a head start on their Easter celebration.

Thousands showed up at Fellowship of Oso Creek Church on Yorktown Saturday for their Easter festival. There were games, bounce houses, popcorn and even a petting zoo for the kids. Plus, CCPD and the fire department brought out their vehicles for the kids to see.

All you needed to get into the festival was a non-perishable food item.

"Everything is free. The reason we do that is simply to be able to invite the community and introduce ourselves to the community. To let them know that we're here as a church, we're here to support them. And most importantly, to let them know the good news about Easter, that Jesus Christ is risen," said Matt Brennan, Fellowship of Oso Creek Pastor.

This is the church's 14th year holding the festival, and they're already planning for next year.
