SEATTLE (KING) - A 69-year-old man called Puyallup, Washington police early Sunday morning, saying he'd shot his two adult children in the head.
"He was contemplating shooting himself," said Deputy Chief David McDonald. "The dispatcher kept him on the line while officers responded and surrounded the house. We were successful in talking him into putting down the gun and then coming outside."
Shortly after, police found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds to the head in different rooms of the house. Police say both victims appeared to have been shot in their sleep.
Both victims were taken to Tacoma General Hospital, where the female victim died, the male victim was reportedly in grave condition.
