CORPUS CHRISTI - Father of Alyssa Gonzalez, the girl attacked at Cunningham Middle School last week, spoke out for the first time about the horrific video posted online of his daughter getting attacked.

"I know it broke my heart, trust me it did. It was just real disturbing to see especially as the parent. You know," said Gonzalez's father Mike Gonzalez.

In the video you can hear the attacker threaten Gonzalez when she says," Well, I'm going to (expletive) kill you. I'm going to (expletive) kill you. You better not walk away from me hoe!"

Alyssa Gonzalez tries to run away to get away from the situation, but the attacker chases her and beats her.

Mike Gonzalez says he had no idea his daughter was having any problems with people at school. He says he had to find out about the attack on the Internet like everyone else.

"The day I found out it happened, we talked about it and she was just crying. You know? She was just scared. She said I couldn't do nothing dad, she was just too big for me. I was just scared. You know," said Gonzalez.

Gonzalez says when he asked his daughter why she didn't tell him, he tells me it's because she was so scared and embarrassed.

"It doesn't feel good at all. My family's calling me. I hate to see my mom's crying, my grandma's crying, my sister's crying, everybody crying around me. It's kind of hard right now, it's been a rough weekend," said Gonzalez.

He says his daughter says the fight started because of rumors going around the school. The attacker has already been suspended and charged with assault... but Gonzalez says he hopes the girl ends up going to jail for what she did to his daughter.

"She's gonna... She's gonna remember this. You know this is not just something she's gonna forget about," said Gonzalez.

CCISD police are still investigating this incident but do say this is more than just your every day bullying. They say what happened in that video is considered assault.

Gonzalez says his daughter was approved for a safety transfer to another CCISD campus, and she started classes at her new school today.
