INGLESIDE - A father and his 3-year-old son were able to safely get out of their house during a fire this morning in the 2300 block of Westlake Circle South.
As they hurried out of the home, a neighbor called 911. It took the Ingleside Volunteer Fire Department less than 10 minutes to put the fire out.
A family member tells us the fire that started in the boy's bedroom, causing extensive damage throughout the front of the home. The rest of the residence has smoke and water damage.
A fire investigator has not completed an assessment yet, but a family member tells us it may be an electrical fire.
The family will be staying with relatives until they can decide how to get started on finding a more permanent place to stay.
Damages to the house are estimated at $30,000.
