CORPUS CHRISTI -- Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Texas, on Tuesday chastised senate leaders for stalling talks that ultimately led to the first government shut down in nearly two decades.
He said Senate leaders have refused to cooperate and will not negotiate with their counterparts in the House of Representatives. Farenthold said the House sent the Senate a bill that granted concessions on Obamacare, but that still didn't work.
"As soon as we sent it over to the senate they said, 'Na, na, na, na, boo, boo. Not 100 percent what we want. no'"
Farenthold said another option is to send bills to the House that will fund only parts of the government, but President Obama signaled late Tuesday that he would veto any bill that does not fund all parts of the government.
