Fans Crowd Streets, Start Fires When Team Loses NCAA

KENTUCKY - Authorities had to control chaos on the streets of Lexington, Kentucky -- after the University of Kentucky lost the NCAA National Championship Game.

The Wildcats lost to the University of Connecticut Huskies, 54 to 60, in Arlington, Texas last night.

At last count, officials in Lexington said there were 17 couch fires, 15 trash fires and 14 injuries, including someone who was hit by a train.

Police and University officials said people were mostly better-behaved and under control than when the Wildcats win.

Not as many people gathered on State Street, compared to when they won over Wisconsin Saturday night.
