CORPUS CHRISTI -- Detectives continue to investigate the suspicious death of a 20 year old man, who was found dead in his home on the 1500 block of Wynwood Drive.

Officers say they responded to a call about an unconscious male. When they arrived at the home they found Michael Sandoval, 20, dead inside. His heartbroken family is trying to make sense of what happened to their loved one but at this point they have more questions than answers.

Family members are mourning the loss of Michael and say losing him is devastating. Michael's aunt, Brenda Trevino says Mikey was an amazing person who's life was taken far too soon.

"He was a warm, caring, good boy, good boy, great father he loved his two girls," Brenda said. We lost something big, we lost something very very good, he had potential to be anything he was funny, he was just caring he'd give his shirt right off his back for you if he could."

She bravely shared a few sweet thoughts about her fun loving nephew. She says Michael worked at Pete's Chicken and More for about a year and loved spending time with his two daughters Mia and Mya.

"He had two beautiful little girls that he just loved, his whole heart was them," Brenda said.

Officers have not released much information about Michael's death. Police say one of his family members found him dead inside the garage apartment. Investigators are treating Michael's death as homicide and have not yet made any arrests.

Even Brenda says at this point the family isn't sure what happened to Michael.

"We don't know anything as far as that, were waiting and just sitting back trying to cope with all this," she said.

Brenda says Michael enjoyed spending time with friends and buying baseball hats. She says the family will always remember his kind heart and innocence.

"Just Michael with a just a beautiful smile, beautiful angelic smile, we all won't forget," Brenda said.

The family plans to start a benefit in Michael's name to help pay for his funeral costs.
