CORPUS CHRISTI - Police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery at the Family Dollar at 1519 S. Port on December 21st.
The suspect walked up to the counter as if he was going to buy some items, but then pulled out a pistol and demanded money from the register.
The clerk refused, instead she walked over to a phone and told the man she was calling police.
He once again demanded money from another clerk and threatened her with the gun - even pulling the trigger - but the gun did not fire.. She was unable to open the register which caused the suspect to give up and leave.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his early 20's, 5'7" - 5'9" tall weighing 180-200 pounds.
