Facebook Bragging Lands Teen Auto Theft Suspect in Jail

CORPUS CHRISTI - A 16-year-old girl landed in the Juvenile Justice Center last night after police say they received a tip she was bragging on Facebook about driving a stolen minivan.

The van was taken from a home on Skyking Drive Monday morning. Officers were able to locate the van and the teen at a home in the 800 block of Roseanne in Flour Bluff just before midnight.

She's charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, punishable by up to 2 years in jail.
