CORPUS CHRISTI - Months of work by researchers and staff at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi pays off with the Federal Aviation Administration selecting the school as a test site for unmanned aircraft systems.
Texas A&M Corpus Christi plans on developing system safety requirements vehicles operations, as well as methods to test the airworthiness of different types of aircraft.
According to the FAA, the university's proximity to different types of terrain will assist in the overall test program.
