Ex-Texas School Mechanic Gets Prison For Porn

EL PASO - An ex-mechanic with a West Texas school district has been sentenced to six years in prison after investigators found nearly 140,000 child pornography images at his home.

A federal judge in El Paso on Thursday sentenced 46-year-old Jose Miranda. The former El Paso Independent School District mechanic pleaded guilty in October to receipt and possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of children.

Investigators last May searched Miranda's residence. Authorities recovered computers and equipment that yielded more than 5,300 videos and about 133,000 images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Prosecutors say Miranda also faces paying an undetermined amount of restitution to the victims portrayed in the videos. A judge is expected to rule on restitution in about a month.
