CORPUS CHRISTI - A guy caught taking stuff out of a home tried to convince police that he still lived there and was doing nothing wrong. But the homeowner had a different story to tell.
Police stopped 34-year old David Garcia while he was loading up a car on the 2700 block of Camargo last night. He and a friend, 33-year old Geronimo Sanchez told police they weren't doing anything wrong.
When the homeowner showed up, she told police Garcia was evicted a year ago. Then she made claims he and Sanchez have stolen stuff from the home ever since in order to pawn the items.
Police figured out both men got into the house through a back living room door. They were also carrying guns with them.
Garcia is facing charges for burglary, possession of marijuana, and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Sanchez is accused of burglary and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
