CORPUS CHRISTI- Dry air in the upper atmosphere will result in mainly dry conditions along with very hot temperatures and generally light winds with the exception of a late afternoon sea breeze thru the weekend. Tropical moisture will return to the area next with some more significant rainfall that is so badly needed. Chantal has fizzled into just an area of low pressure in the Caribbean Sea.
For Thursday and Friday expect a quiet start then sunny skies and blazing hot with only a lonely shower, light winds and a high today and tomorrow near record high levels reaching 98 and 100 respectively.
Tonight we will have mainly clear skies calm and quiet after midnight and a low of 76.
Chantal has weakened to an area of low pressure in the northern Caribbean Sea and is only a rain threat to that area.
