CORPUS CHRISTI - Another relay for life, this time for an 8-year old boy who has Leukemia. This year Evans Elementary 2nd grader Eddie Fuentes was diagnosed with Leukemia.
His teacher helped organize fundraisers and a walk around the school to support Eddie and his fight with the disease. So far, they've raised just over $1,000 for the American Cancer Society.
"To hear an 8-year old boy has cancer, you know their biggest fear should be forgetting their homework or misplacing their favorite toy. So if you have ever watched someone go through cancer you know how hard it is. So that is why today is so important," says teacher Stacy Mitchan.
