Embracing Skeletons Found

A couple trapped in an embrace for hundreds of years has been unearthed in Russia.

Russian archeologists found the Bronze Age burial site of a couple intertwined. The grave in southern Russia is believed to date back to the Bronze Age, about 1500 BC.

The two skeletons were laid next to each other with their hands and legs intertwined - a pose very unusual for burials of the time period. The remains have been handed over to anthropologists, who will confirm the age and sex of the two skeletons.

Excavation of the site began last year in order to extract artifacts from the area before a metallurgical plant was built there.
