Elderly Man Slams into 4 Cars While Leaving a Corpus Christi Whataburger

CORPUS CHRISTI - A strange crash, in a Whataburger parking lot, severely damaged at least 5 vehicles today.

Police say an elderly man, driving a pickup truck, was backing up to exit the restaurant, at Weber and Brett, when he lost control of his truck.

The truck rammed into an SUV, which pushed into another car. The pickup continued, in reverse, striking another SUV, which also struck another car. The pickup then hit the Whataburger sign, before stopping.

No one was hurt, but damage is estimated to be several thousand dollars.

Police say the man was involved in a similar crash a couple of months ago in a different vehicle.

No citations were given out since the crash happened on private property, but police say they will ask DPS to evaluate the man's license to drive.
