CORPUS CHRISTI - A suspected DWI driver caused an estimated $70,000 worth of damage to vehicles at the Subaru dealership in Corpus Christi overnight.
Police say they started chasing 31-year-old Matthew Grier when he refused to pull over. He allegedly ran several red lights before slamming into a car outside the dealership. The impact flipped his truck, causing it to hit more vehicles.
Someone helped Grier out of his damaged truck and he took off on foot. Officers soon caught up with him hiding in someone's backyard.
Grier's charged with his third DWI and evading arrest.
