DWI Suspect Crashes Into Childrens' Bedroom in Sinton

SINTON - Daniel Ernesto Duarte, 44, of Sinton is facing a driving while intoxicated charge for crashing into a home this morning along County Road 61.

The grandmother who lives in the home tells us she awoke to a loud crash around 3:30 a.m. She found headlights shining through the broken wall of her granddaughters' room.

The girls were not injured because their beds are on the other side of the room.

There's a beer can on the ground where Duarte's Ford Focus came to a stop outside the house. Police say he ran from the scene, but was caught a short time later.
