DWI Suspect Accused of Hit and Run on Parked Car

CORPUS CHRISTI - A police officer in the 4700 block of Kostoryz arrested a 69-year-old man accused of a hit and run accident at a Times Market last night.

According to police, Carlos Garza Jr's truck struck a parked Dodge Neon in the parking lot. Rather than stopping to inform the driver who was shopping at the time, police say Garza drove off.

The owner of the Neon chased Garza down the road where police pulled him over. Police say Garza appeared to be intoxicated. He's charged with driving while intoxicated, hitting an unattended vehicle, driving without a license and driving without auto insurance.
