Dumpster Fire at Evans Elementary

CORPUS CHRISTI - Fire crews were called out to Evans Elementary School earlier today. It was around 7:30 this morning when a custodian noticed flames coming from a dumpster.

The employee quickly grabbed a hose and tried to put out the fire. There was so much smoke that an alarm was sounded and staff and students were evacuated from the building.

Firefighters arrived a short time later and quickly doused the blaze. At this point, they are not sure how that fire started.
