ROBSTOWN - Road crews are working to clean up the mess from a dump truck crash along Highway 44 just east of Robstown. The driver of the truck was not seriously injured in the crash.
The owner of the truck tells us the driver lost control of the truck, overcorrected, and flipped in the road. The truck's 10 ton load of sand ended up ion the side of the road. No other vehicles were involved.
Traffic is flowing normally as officials diverted everyone around the crash scene. A crew was sent out to clean up a spill of diesel fuel from the crash.
The owner of the truck says he just hired to driver to fill-in for a couple of days. The owner needed help as he dealt with a death in the family.
