CORPUS CHRISTI - A note about aggressive driving was added to the tickets issued following a crash on Interstate 37 near Corn Products Road this afternoon.
According to police, the driver of a white sedan was going 88 miles an hour while weaving in and out of lanes.
The ensuing crash smashed the front end of a Silverado, sent the white sedan into the wall, and caused minor damage to a van.
Last week, Corpus Christi Police announced a renewed effort to stop dangerous driving habits. The 'Stop Aggressive Driving' campaign is meant to educate the public about using courtesy and some sense while behind the wheel.
A driver could face a fine up to $500 for aggressive driving based on evidence they were going 10 miles over the speed limit in a school zone, 20 miles over the limit on any road, or changing lanes without any warning to other drivers.
