CORPUS CHRISTI - City council approved tax abatements for a new hotel to be built downtown along the bayfront. The high-end boutique hotel planned for the corner of Water and Born Street will contain 54 rooms.
The developers will receive a $4.7 million tax abatement over an 8 year period. Construction on the hotel is scheduled to begin within the next 90 days.
