CORPUS CHRISTI - After a disturbing video showed two men get into an argument and then one man punch the other, knocking him out downtown safety has become a huge concern for business owners in that area.

We spoke with some of them today who say they won't tolerate this kind of behavior and are taking action.

Dottie Clower says, "We ware looking at some better cameras, maybe improve the lighting."

Almost a week after Clower's camera caught that assault at the corner of Starr and Chaparral Street, she is taking steps to try and make downtown safer.

There is still blood stains on the sidewalk and business owners say enough is enough, but what do they plan to do to fix the problem?

One idea, installing more cameras, Clower says, "The system is I think 2 to 3 years old and there is better equipment we can get."

Another idea, putting up more lights. Casey Lane who owns the House of Rock told us he plans to put new lights behind his building so the are near the bar is better lit at night.

Clower had electricians out earlier today, and they plan to install 6 new lights.

Clower says, "We just want it to be lit up properly but you also don't want to lose the atmosphere of downtown. You don't want it lit up like a carnival."

But even with more lights and cameras, Clower doesn't think the violence problem will go away, "I think it's going to take police presence to let people know we are not going to tolerate this behavior."

We spoke with CCPD who tell us they plan to have four extra officers patrolling the downtown area this weekend, and hopefully Clower's cameras won't catch anything like that assault again.
