Donate to Oklahoma Relief Efforts Tonight at Whataburger Field

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Corpus Christi Hooks and Ainsworth Trucking are asking the community to step up to the plate and help out the victims of that horrific tornado that shattered so many lives in Oklahoma.

Beginning tonight, they'll be accepting donations for the tornado victims at Whataburger field tonight and for the next 6 home games.

Organizers and relief personnel are asking for:

  • dry snacks
  • toiletries
  • diapers
  • tents
  • blankets
  • bedding
  • good quality clothing for all ages

It is worth noting you should not donate items that require refrigeration or need to be cooked before eating. Most of the people affected by the tornado lost their homes and are still without electricity, so they do not have a way to prepare meals.

Cash donations are needed to cover other needs.

Hooks staff will man a trailer well before tonight's game and until the third inning. Donations made after the third and during business hours can be left at the Whataburger Field offices, right of main gates.
