Domestic Disturbance Turns Into Shooting

PADRE ISLAND - Police raced out to Barataria late Monday night just off Whitecap for a shooting that started with a domestic disturbance. Officials say the wife, who lives at the house with her two children, is going through a divorce with her husband. When the husband came to the door, police say, an argument ensued and the husband ended up getting shot in the leg. He immediately left the scene in a blue hummer. When police arrived, they questioned the wife who admitted to shooting her husband in the leg. Police later caught up with the husband and said his injuries were minor. It is unknown what charges police will file. The children involved were not injured in the disturbance.
